Rencontres lyriques internationales: Prix lyrique Québec-Bavière awarded by LOJIQ to young Canadian singers

Aaron Ferguson, a young Canadian tenor (center), is one of the 2011 receivers of the Prix lyrique Québec-Bavière (Quebec-Bavaria Lyric Award), a stipend of the Quebec Ministry of International Relations, awarded by LOJIQ as part of the Jeunes Ambassadeurs lyriques program. This award, which he was presented at the Gala-concert of the Rencontres lyriques internationales de Montréal on November 27, 2011 by Ms. Geneviève Lambert (right), Director of Programs at Les Offices Jeunesse internationaux du Québec, in the presence of Mr. Daniel Curio (left), Director of the State of Bavaria Montreal Office, will enable him to travel to Bavaria in order to participate in several lyric contests and be introduced to the local opera houses. Another awardee of such stipend was Canadian soprano Ms. Chantale Nurse, currently at Atelier lyrique de l’Opéra de Montréal.
