The sculptors from Germany have arrived in St-Jean-Port-Joli and are starting their collaborative work with their Quebec partners

On July 6, 2018, the German sculptors arrived in St-Jean-Port-Joli and immediately set out to start their collaborative work with their Quebec partners to prepare for the Biennale de Sculpture, from July 26-29. On the picture, Benoi Deschênes and Thomas Hildenbrand, both in the former's studio. For its 2018 edition, the Biennale de Sculpture invited Bavarian and German wood carvers, all former students of the sculpture school in Oberammergau (Upper Bavaria), a village renowned for its wood carving tradition and savoir-faire.
