Quebec, Bavaria and Alberta to meet at IFAT 2010 in Munich, Sept. 15: Business, Science and Innovation through Regional Cooperation

IFAT Entsorga, the world's leading trade fair for water, sewage, waste and raw materials management, will take place in Munich from September 13 to 17. On Wednesday, September 15, a "Canada Special" will be held at 1 pm, with speakers from Quebec, Alberta and Bavaria, among whom Denis Leclerc (CEO of EcoTech Quebec), Pr. Ralf Ludwig (geography professor at Munich's Ludwig-Maximilian-University), and Daryl McCartney (Executive Manager of the Edmonton Waste Management Centre of Excellence). This will be an opportunity to present the environmental sectors in Quebec and Alberta, exchange information on the latest technological trends, share expertise from a regional perspective, and explore environmental challenges and solutions.

Specialists, researchers, developers, entrepreneurs and decision-makers from Québec, Alberta, and Ba-varia will discuss the state of the art in their field of activity. Furthermore, they will reflect on their experi-ence of long standing regional cooperation in sci-ence, technology, and business. In a concluding panel discussion, they will draw the lines of future development together.
