Minister for European Affairs Müller declares extension of diplomatic relations with the region Provences – Alpes - Côte d'Azur / Müller: "Great potential for cooperation, especially concerning Research and Development"

During a meeting with its Regional Council Michel Vauzelle, the Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs Emilia Müller has announced the extension in the cooperation with the region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur. Müller: "Both Bavaria and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur may profit from an increased cooperation, especially regarding the fields of research and development. The region (Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur) is one of the most important centers of economy and science in France. Based on our Charta of Cooperation, there are already numerous joint projects between municipalities and universities. Our cooperation shall be boosted once more."

The State of Bavaria and the French regions Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, Languedoc-Roussillon and Midi-Pyrénées have signed a Charta of Cooperation in 1996. Regional Council Vauzelle visited the State of Bavaria while attending the German-French seminar taking place in the Upper Bavarian municipality Fischbachau. Since 1968, the Bavarian State Chancellery and the French Cultural Institut in Munich have been organising those advanced training events for Bavarian officials and judges. Every year, Fischbachau awaits numerous high-ranking French speakers from the fields of politics, economy, cultural affairs, science and society.
