Canadian Company Sets Up Production Facility in Lower Franconia

The Canadian company Tesla Digital has successfully completed the formalities for setting up its German branch office at Mömbris in Franconia (Northern Bavaria). Johann Niggl, Business Location Adviser of the State of Bavaria, is convinced: “Bavaria can offer Tesla Digital outstanding framework conditions for the production of green LEDs.”

Founded in 2010, Tesla Digital has its headquarters in the Canadian city of Windsor, Ontario, where it employs a staff of 130. Initially, 30 employees are to be hired at the Bavarian site.

In 2010, the bilateral volume of trade between Canada and Bavaria came to some 1.9 billion euro. Over 1,200 Bavarian firms have business relations with Canadian companies.
