« Return-To-Bavaria » Initiative: The State of Bavaria wants to attract emigrated professionals and offers 100 travel grants to Munich, to the first conference therefore in April


On October 8, 2012, Bavarian Minister of Economic Affairs and Vice-Minister-President, Mr. Martin Zeil, announced the launch of the “Return-to-Bavaria” initiative. The program aims at hiring highly qualified German professionals who chose to emigrate in order to bring their career forward. In order to identify and contact as many abroad as possible, the Ministry of Economic Affairs appointed the long-time operational German Scholars Organization (GSO) as a partner in this project.

Since October 1, 2012, German professionals from all over the world thinking of coming to Bavaria find a specialized office at Leopoldstraße 244 in Munich, the official headquarters of the Return-to-Bavaria Initiative. An experienced and competent team welcomes them under supervision of Mrs. Kerstin Dübner-Gee, and helps in any way necessary.

The first annual conference of the Return-to-Bavaria Initiative will be held in Munich from April 22-24, 2013, and shall offer the participants career workshops and individual coaching opportunities to help them prepare their back-trip to Bavaria in every aspect imaginable.

Highly qualified Bavarians and Germans living all over the world are welcome to send in their application for one of the 100 travel grants offered on this occasion. The grants cover part of the trip and stay expenses, as well as all of the conference participation costs. Application deadline is January 31, 2013.
