« Portraits croisés » is an exchange program between film schools that enables current or recently graduated students to experience filming abroad. With the help of the partner institutions, the participants must film a short documentary about situations or persons barely known, but often of great importance in their community.

This screening at the Rendez-vous du Cinéma Québécois festival will show the films that were directed during the 2011 and 2012 exchanges between INIS and HFF Munich, and INIS and INSAS Brussels. The two short docs of the INIS-HFF 2011 exchange had premiered at Munich's dokFEST in May 2012, and were shown in a preview in Montreal one month later.
