The State of Bavaria Quebec office would like to congratulate the German soccer team on their 2014 world champion title.

Many players of the German Mannschaft come from the legendary FC Bayern München and were key to unlock the title. For instance Manuel Neuer, distinguished the world’s best goalkeeper at the end of the tournament, but also captain Philipp Lahm, Bastian Schweinsteiger and Mario Götze, who kicked the decisive goal.

In an intensive and passionate match against an excellent Argentinian team, the Mannschaft has proven that they have not only the capability to win but also the will to beat even the best opponents on their way to the title. In the 113th minute Mario Götze became a German hero by striking the winning goal and preventing his team from penalty shootout.

Also to be congratulated are the brilliant coach and support squads whose dedication has immensely contributed to this title.
