Motion of the National Assembly of Quebec to underline the 25th anniversary of Bavaria-Quebec relations

During her visit to Quebec, the Bavarian Minister for International Relations, Beate Merk, witnessed the parliamentary debates in the National Assembly's Salon bleu on October 1st, 2014.

Mrs. Christine St-Pierre, Quebec Minister for International Relations and La Francophonie, presented a motion to her colleagues in order to underline the unique cooperation that has united Quebec and Bavaria for 25 years now, and the great variety and multiplicity of cooperation projects that resulted of this cooperation at all levels. Representatives of every party rose to speak, among others Mr. Stéphane Bergeron, vice-president of the DANRBA (Delegation of the National Assembly for the Relations with Bavaria), and the Assembly adopted the following motion:

“That the members of the National Assembly reiterate the particular place of Bavaria in the international relations of Quebec.

"That on the occasion of the 25th anniversary of this bilateral cooperation, they testify to the importance of this relation that generated various beneficial effects for our enterprises, our creators, our researchers and our young.”
