Bavarian State Secretary of Economic Affairs Mr. Pschierer visits Quebec

MUNICH / QUEBEC      Bavarian State Secretary of Economic Affairs Mr. Franz Josef Pschierer is headed to Quebec today for a 3-day visit with a 40-strong delegation of businessmen and scientists. “We want to further intensify relations and strengthen existing contacts between Bavaria and Quebec in the industry branches of aerospace and visual media”, Mr. Pschierer explains. “There is great cooperation potential precisely in high-tech branches.”

The group of approx. 40 persons travelling with him is comprised of businessmen, representatives of companies and scientists from Bavarian universities. Mr. Pschierer underlines the fact that Bavaria and Quebec as aerospace locations and interactive entertainment hubs will benefit from further developments. I am convinced that we will discover many cooperation opportunities.”

On the agenda are – among others – a common Quebec-Bavaria workshop with companies and research institutions of the aerospace branch. Also: Plant tours of important Montreal aerospace companies and studio visits with local entertainment industry businesses – Bombardier Aerospace and CAE, Frima, 4 u 2 c and Warner Bros, etc.

Bavaria and Quebec have been engaged in a dynamic bilateral partnership since 1989, which to date counts more than 600 successful cooperation projects. Mr. Pschierer declares himself “happy to see that the partnership between Bavaria and Quebec is such a lively one. The existing contact network between the two partners has never stopped growing in the last 26 years. Our representation offices abroad are a great asset for our companies, as they are an excellent contact on site and provide contacts.”
