Within the frame set by the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Bavarian Ministry of Education, Science and the Arts and the Fonds de Recherche du Québec in September 2014, a new exchange program for short stays (1-3 months) is being set up.

It aims at fostering the international mobility of researchers between Bavaria and Quebec in order to deepen cooperation between the two regions in the following research fields:

  • Ageing
  • Climate change
  • Nordicity
  • Digitization
  • Renewable Energy

The FRQ grant for Quebec participants covers the trip to and from Bavaria, as well as a per diem.

To be eligible to the grant though, candidates must show a letter of invitation from a scientist in Bavaria previously approved by BayFOR (Bavarian Alliance for Research). For further details, contact Dr. Florence Gauzy.

The program will be launched on January 15, 2016, on which date the application forms can be downloaded from the FRQS website.

Deadline for submitting an application in Québec is March 1, 2016 at 4:30 pm.

For more information, contact Ms. Manon Pelletier, Advisor, Support Programs.
