Come and meet Bavarian representatives at Booth #622!

With a world-renowned competence and expertise in the automobile branch --  giants like Audi, BMW ou MAN come from there -- Bavaria boasts innovation and know-how from vehicles to engines and electric gearings, to research on new materials, over R&D and engineering services. The quite characteristic connexion between industry players, research institutions, education centers and industry clusters make Bavaria a "model region" with a significant competitive edge when it comes to implementing the mobility of tomorrow.

Early in 2016, the Bavarian government and the automobile branch agreed on a global intiative to foster electric mobility: direct incentives to the acquisition and fiscal incentives to the charge of electric vehicles,  development of a wider network of electric charge terminals, renewal and progressive remplacement of the public employees' vehicle park by electric vehicles, etc.

Since 2012, Quebec has been an international partner of the Bavaria-Saxony tandem, one of the German federal government's "Regional windows of electric mobility". In the following Fall, the Bavarian Vice-PM had participated in the conference EV 2012 VÉ, about electric transport systems, together with Quebec's Minister of Natural Resources and Saxony's Minister of Economic Affairs, Employment and Transports. As a further deepening step of the Bavaria-Quebec cooperation, an E-Mobility Workshop was organized in Montreal in June 2014, with specialists from both regions exchanging over battery technologies and smart micro-grids.
