Every year the Jeunes Ambassadeurs lyriques event brings together young Canadian and international classical singers to display their talents in front of an International Selection Committee composed of directors of European opera houses. The State of Bavaria Québec Office has supported this program for 10 years.

In November 2016, Ms. Marie-Andrée Mathieu, mezzo-soprano from Québec, was named Young Classical Talent from Québec, an award given by TD bank (2000$). She was also offered the opportunity to pass a practical training at the Junges Ensemble of the State Opera in Munich.

Ms. Élisabeth Boudreault, soprano, was invited to take part in audition for the opera studio in Nuremberg on November 30th 2016.

Both Marie-Andrée Mathieu and Élisabeth Boudreault both were honorees of the Lyrical Award Québec-Bavaria, which is discerned by the Ministery of International Relations and La Francophonie. This will help them finance the practical trainings they were offered at the Staatstheater Nürnberg and Mainfranken Theater Würzburg, as well their participation in other auditions in Bavaria in 2017.

The Award for the Young Classical Talent from Canada 2016 (Alfid&Azrieli grant, 4000$) was given to Lara Secord-Haid, soprano.

Ms. Kathrin Filip, a young soprano from Würzburg, received the recognition for "Best Foreign Artist" (1000$), awarded by the promoter of the program, Theatre Lyrichorégra 20, to the non-Canadian artist who most impressed the member of the International Selection Committee.
