08.02.2017

In Montreal, the Goethe Institut has been catering to the German-speaking audience with a long-standing tradition of screening contemporary German films in a local theater („Achtung Film!“ series at Cinéma Du Parc). In 2017, a new offer targets German language speakers and lovers from around Québec city, as the Goethe Institut has paired up with Cinéma Cartier to show a contemporary German film every 2nd Wednesday in the month.

Benjamin Heisenberg, a former student of the Hochschule für Fernsehen und Film München, was decorated as the Best Up-and-Coming Director in 2010 – his newest comedy „Super Egos“ (2014) wird will be shown on April 12 in Québec.

Also celebrated by the Bavarian Film Awards as Best Young Actor in 2014: Louis Hofmann for his role in “Freistatt”, which is set to be screened in Québec on June 7.
