Regional Leaders Summit in Quebec City from May 16-18, 2018

The Partner regions network

The heads of governments of the Partner Regions’ network will meet in Quebec City from May 16 to 18. The focus will be “Energy transition: Towards a low-carbon economy”. This is the 9th Regional Leaders Summit (RLS), two years after the last summit held in Munich in July 2016.

Held every two years, alternatively in the capital of each partner region, the RLS is an opportunity to strengthen existing collaborations and define new projects on decisive research topics. The political meetings are the climax after a week of common activities and conferences about a number of scientific activities, including the inaugural RLS-Energy Network Summer School (press release), a Digitization Day hosted by FRQNT (press release), the third Global Aerospace Campus Summer Summit put together by AÉROÉTS (website), a Small Satellites project meeting – as 11 mini-satellites are to be launched into space by 2019 (website). Also on the program, a multilateral research project presentation to the RLS heads of government and political representatives.
