The province of Quebec is currently investing billions of dollars in the health industry, especially in new construction projects of university clinics and hospitals and its health budget adds up to 29 billion of dollars.

This sets the background to the June 2010 visit of a high-ranking delegation of experts, specialised in the medical and health field, from Quebec to Bavaria. This visit was organised by the Bavarian Ministry of Economy and the State of Bavaria Montreal Office, with the assistance of the TUM-Tech GmbH. The delegation met with representatives of the Bavarian health care system, firms from the field of health and clinics and took part in the international MedTechPharma conference 2010 in Nurnberg.

“Brainlab has had several contacts to Quebec, but the visit of such a delegation is very helpful because it gives the one-of-a-kind opportunity, to present our products adequately and in a substantiated manner to the attendees. In this case, it turned out during the visit that one of our products was already used in the hospital of an attendee. This certainly made the whole disposition even more interesting for the rest of the delegation. This is the kind of dynamic you only get when you bring together a group of high-ranking decision maker. An ideal addition to our own sale activities in Canada.“  Thomas Kraft, General Manager, Brainlab Sales GmbH

„Precisely for young businesses like ours it is important to have a direct contact to the decision makers in the respective countries. A delegation visiting our company is the perfect setting in order for us to present our more demanding products or services that require extensive explanations and presentations. We wouldn’t have the same opportunity of detailed and informed discussions on various subjects in a normal exhibition like we did during the delegation’s visit.” Stefanie Scheurer, VP Operations, itm FlowMedical GmbH
