The family-owned company PERI is the largest manufacturer and supplier of scaffolding and formwork systems worldwide (turnover: 1.052 million euros in 2012). With 6,500 employees, 52 subsidiaries and 110 logistic locations in more than 95 countries, PERI serves its customers worldwide with innovative system equipment and a broad range of services related to formwork and scaffolding technology. The parent company is PERI GmbH in Swabia's Weißenhorn, a city at the border of Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg.

According to a study carried out by the Munich consulting company Biesalki & Company, in August 2011, PERI was 3rd of the top 10 German „Hidden Champions“, medium-sized businesses relatively unknown outside their own branch, but nonetheless international market leaders.

PERI is also very successful on the Canadian market: PERI obtained the commission for The Bow, a 236 meters high office block in Calgary, Alberta. The exceptional design of the prestigious skyscraper demanded the framework respect special criteria: the combination of a crescent-shaped ground-plan with a diagonal construction of load-bearing capacity was realized in this way for the first time in North America. Also Hydro Quebec’s grand project, the Toulnustouc River Dam, in the North of Quebec, had PERI provide formwork and scaffolding systems.

With the support of the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Bayern International and the State of Bavaria Quebec Office, PERI already attended several business delegation trips to Alberta and Quebec to simplify the approach towards new potential clients in Canada. Conducted by the Bavarian State Minister of Economic Affairs, Mr Martin Zeil, these delegation trips open doors that would otherwise remain closed for medium-sized businesses such as PERI.
