Did you know that...

Adidas and Puma

In 1923, despite the economic crisis in the small town of Herzogenaurach in Middle Franconia, Rudolf and Adi Dassler still decided to launch their own shoe factory. They complemented each other perfectly: Rudi, the “beau”, nicknamed “Puma” because of his slenderness, became the marketing boss; Adi the Tireless, fiddled about new designs.

Unfortunately, due to recurring differences between the two brothers, their collaboration ended. In 1948, the firm was divided, giving way to “Adidas” and “Puma”.
