In December 2014, Alexander Schulz from Bavaria (Rosenheim) managed to break the Guinness World Records' record for the longest distance walked on a highline in Guilin, Guangxi province (China), where he crossed a 375-meter-long rope while balancing 100 meters above ground - setting the new world record for the Longest distance walked on a highline, according to the World Record Academy.

After three days of failed attempts, Schulz battled the elements, including strong winds and rain, and crossed from one side to the other, successfully toppling the previous record by 70 meters.
