The Ensemble Caprice, a baroque music group led by German flutist and composer Matthias Maute (center), offered a concert of Bach Cantatas on Sunday, February 22, 2015 at the Bourgie Hall of Montreal's Museum of Fine Arts. As part of its 25th anniversary, the Ensemble was supported by the Bavarian State Chancellery to have Bavarian tenor Hermann Oswald perform in Montreal -- the North American premiere of a renowned baroque voice in the European musical scene. The concert was sold out and offered two death cantatas by the famous Cantor, as well as a fugue for organ, interpreted by Jean-Willy Kunz (sitting, right). The singers were Monika Mauch, soprano, Maude Brunet, alto, Hermann Oswald, tenor, and Clayton Kennedy, baryton (from left). pictture © Gilles Brissette | courtesy
